Here are some others that were not on my friend's website.  She gave me the CD today so now we can have some printed up.  I love the one with Bailey and Emma by the tree as he acts like she has cooties.

A few random things with a random picture...

Addison with rice cereal on her face.  

The girls are now 4 months old, and so that means rice cereal!  So, yes, the doctor did say 5 months old to start, but who am I to do what the doc says most of the time anyway:)  They both love it, and I have given it to them about once per day the last few days.  

Tonight was supposed to be our ward camp out, but it was raining.  Since we are not taking five children camping in the cold and rain, we went out to dinner with the Morgan's instead.  There are very few places you can say "Seats for 11 children, please."  So we went to Round Table, and then to see Monsters vs. Aliens.  This was our first movie trip with all our kids, and it was great.  No screaming, no crying or wanting to be fed and the twins did great too:)

Bailey and his friends made a movie this week.  I filmed it and then edited it on the computer and put in music, titles and effects.  It turned out pretty cute and if any one cannot find it to watch at their local Blockbuster, we have a copy...

The reason I can post right now...

As I sit here posting, this is exactly what he looks like.  I just took this picture of poor, sick Nathan.  On the way home from our morning walk, I wheeled the stroller into the garage and when I went to get him out there was some lovely throw up every where.  Not to gross anyone out, but frozen waffles+milk=yuck.  He has a 101 fever and passed out on the couch watching Sesame Street.  The girls are down for their afternoon nap, and I am eating my lunch.  Yup, no lost appetite on throw up:)  Hopefully, this bug won't spread to the other kids.  Or at least, hopefully it waits.  We are going on our Ward campout tomorrow night and throw up and camp fire don't mix!

In true Emmaness, last night when told to clean her room, she *gasp* said no thanks, not wanting to do that.  Ben told her she could either clean her room or clean the kitchen up from dinner.  So, she said "KITCHEN!"  Um, OK, that didn't work (or so we thought).  She got out the little stool and cleaned the dishes at the sink.  Happily, I might add.

Summer in April

It was so hot yesterday that I pulled out our new sprinkler set for the kids to play in.  Good thinking on the Easter Bunny's part to get that as a gift, right?  Bailey, Emma and Nathan, along with their friends Malachi and Isaac went for it.  Now, the two friends are in their clothes and for the record I did have them run home to ask their mom if they could go in the sprinklers and change.  They came back and said it was OK to go in their clothes.  I did not verify this, but it was so hot they probably dried off by the time they walked home anyway.

The sprinklers have all sorts of rubber arms that shoot out and wiggle.

Nice pose, Bailey.  I kept having to tell him to pull his shorts up.  I can't believe that kids waist is so skinny with all that he eats.

Parable of the Sheep and the Goats

Tonight, I tried something new with the kids for reading scriptures.  I let Emma pick a word out of the topical guide and I told them we would read a verse about that word.  Emma picked Jesus.  Well, there are soooooo many areas under Jesus that I let Bailey pick the sub topic.  He chose the Good Shepherd.  We talked for a bit about why we call Jesus a shepherd and how we are all His sheep.  Here is the conversation that followed:

Mom: Who are the sheep?

Bailey: We are....but sometimes I am a goat. (Mind you, I had not brought up this parable at all, he was remembering from Primary)

Mom: You are a goat? Why?

Bailey: Well, I am SOMETIMES a goat.  Because I do bad things some of the time, not all of the time.

Mom: You can still be a sheep.  Sometimes sheep wander off and have to be brought back.

Bailey: Yeah, cause they are out making friends with the goats! (insert silly Bailey laugh here)

We went on to talk about goats and how Bailey thought they were pretty tough and could take care of themselves.  But then, we came across reading a scripture in Nephi and he remembered how cool he thinks Nephi is.  I asked him if Nephi was a goat or a sheep?  He said Sheep, of course!  I then reminded him that Nephi was strong and good, but he followed Jesus.  Bailey stopped, did his little half smile with a head bob and decided that being a sheep was probably pretty cool too...

Kinkies...

Nathan's version of going to the bathroom is pronounced "kinkies" otherwise known as stinkies. Lovely, right? Well, I am slowly getting into the groove of potty training. It's been on and off for a while as I am not ready to devote my life to being centered around trips to the bathroom just yet. So, when we have some time, we work on it. Nathan decided he was going to go to the bathroom while watching Sesame Street today. I figure, why not? After all, I have five kids right, so where you pee, you pee as long as I don't clean it up... He sat there for about 15 minutes until I tried to get him to get up. He got upset and wanted to sit back down. I let him and then went down the hall towards my room. It wasn't very long before he came padding down the hall and saying Mommy Look!!!! I went to his little seat, and lo and behold, there were "kinkies", in this case also known as pee. He calls everything kinkies. This is probably the fourth time or so he has gone on the toilet in the last six months. Not bad for not really trying. And I'm sure he will love this picture at 14.

Woo-Hoo!

Ben forwarded me this email today, sent out to his work.  We pretty much knew he would be offered a job, as all the partners had talked with him about it.  However, until you actually get that offer, everything is still up in the air.  I know Ben will think it is silly I am putting this on the blog, but I'm just so proud of him:) And it needs to be documented, of course!!!

The first time we took her picture on this same bike!  Oh, the little pigtails:)  I think I will have to keep these pictures handy the next time she slams her door and tells me I am ruining her life...

Neighborhood Friends

It's getting late, but I wanted to get the rest of these pictures blogged for the record!  Our friends live around the corner with the benefit of kids playing freely in the streets.  

Here are Emma and Isaac.  These two have been buddies for a long time.  I still remember them playing together under the end tables in the foyer at Church when they could only crawl.  OK, so they are only 5 and it wasn't that long ago.  These two have a love hate relationship.  It's hard being good buddies with a boy when you have an older brother who is sometimes more "fun" to play with.  Emma used to be able to boss Isaac around, and now she is finding that sometimes boys don't obey your every command:)

The Street Gang-

These kids will be seen up and down in front of our house on the street riding their bikes.  They were quite willing to let me take pictures of them, and even give me the tough poses.  Now, I hope Bailey understands a little more about what I did as a kid when I had no t.v.  There is nothing like playing until dark with your friends.  We have forbid the Morgans to ever move unless they provide an equal replacement of a child that is matched in age for every one of ours.

Cruising around...

A while back, Bailey made up his mind that he was going to learn how to ride on two wheels.  With some of Bailey's delays, he has a left side weakness and is starting occupational therapy.  The therapist said he might never ride a bike.  Well leave it to Bailey to prove her wrong.  He has been out EVERY day riding on his old bike with training wheels until they got so bent, he was actually riding only on the two.  We took the wheels off and he could ride like it was nothing!  So, we got him this bigger bike and he has been a maniac all afternoon.  It still amazes me what this kid can do when everyone else says he shouldn't be able to.  I'm so excited to see him so proud of himself!

Just give me a hack saw

Bailey has mastered two wheel bike riding, and we bought him a "brand new" used bike off craigslist.  The seat was too high and it had to be adjusted.  Bailey told me we had to wait for dad because "moms can't fix bikes"  WELL!  Not to quote Obama or anything but Yes, I can!

So I strapped the bike seat into the vice, took Ben's hack saw and started at it....

And presto!  A modified seat.....

So, then I did have difficulty getting the clamp piece back on, and with a few times online and a few calls to Ben I figured it out.  I was just about to go out and finish when Ben's brother Mike came by and did it quickly for me.  Now, just because I didn't actually end up doing it, doesn't mean I couldn't have.  You can see below the modification I made when Bailey said his behind was sore.  Let me just say that Yes, Moms can fix bike seats-so there :)

Spring Break

So I stole these from someone else, and they are not as nice looking as Kristen's, but she has some super craft green thumb:)  They are still cute anyway, and the kids had fun.

With all the rain this week, things were tough in the Oram kid house!  My kids have a new found love of the outside.  They are out EVERY day with their neighborhood friends and have the greatest time.  This is part of the reason I really like our new house.  Wednesday we couldn't take the rain anymore and play group was not happening at the park, so we went with the Bradford's to Bounceopolis.  The kids went crazy and even met the Easter Bunny.  

Emma at 9:30 a.m. on a Thursday.  She LOVED being able to sleep in all week.

Now, why am I excited for Spring Break to be two weeks next year for the kids?  Umm, now that we have been through a week, I am not sure...  But we have survived (almost!)  As a special treat, Ben has been home all afternoon and I got a cool clearance rack outfit at Target!

This is my cool new hair cut, courtesy of Raquel.  I took this picture for my facebook profile.  Not the greatest quality, but the best I can do on a computer:)  I had her give me bangs to camouflage the post baby hair falling out.  This blog rarely has pictures of me on it, so it's about time, right?

Growing Girls

The gap between the two is closing and no wonder I had to pull out the 3-6 month clothes (and they fit!) Now that Kate's heart is healed, she is closing in!

If you go to our blog page and click on the French Photography link on the side, you will see my crazy children:)  My friend, Stephanie, is building her portfolio and took pictures of Bailey, Emma and Nathan at the Botanical Gardens in Fair Oaks.  They thought it was hilarious to just run away from her most of the time and laugh when she tried to take pictures.  Then, when they were posed, they thought it was even funnier to goof around-- well, she definitely captured the essence of them!  

Spring is Here!

Our impromptu "photo shoot" with Nathan, Kate and Addison.  They were decked out in clothes for warmer weather-yay!  Although it was windy, we had a great time at play group.  We stayed extra long since Grandma was picking up Bailey and Emma from school for Easter outfit shopping.  

I actually was able to capture Addison's smile.  She smiles all the time, but usually Kate is the only one who will do it for the camera.

Two belly girls together.  I admit I intertwined their arms together, but they did lean in towards each other, even if just for the sake of not falling down.

Invention Convention!

Bailey's invention for his class project.  The Super Shoes 10,000.  Each student was asked to come up with an invention, make it and document why and how.  Bailey made these shoes for camping.  The flashlight is so you can see while you walk, there are side pockets to hold things and a "phone" attached so you can talk handsfree while you camp.  He was so excited to make these and had a great time.  We went to the Convention for all the 2nd and 3rd graders on Friday after school.
