Hansel and Gretel Eat Right

We just got back a little bit ago from Emma's class play.  When we got home, we did a quick lunch for Nathan, then down for nap.  The twins ate some rice cereal and I just got them down as well.  So, with the hour and a half we have left before we have to head back out to school, I am using some of it to blog-so useful!!

Emma played an Elf who eats fruit...

Considering the theme of the play, this was one of the better parts for her.  She does eat fruit, so she didn't have to lie:)  The elves were so "cute, cute, cute" because they ate their "fruit, ute, ute"

The premise of the play was Hansel and Gretel run away because they don't want to eat the things their parents want them to.  Along the way, they meet exercise bunnies, hygienic raccoons, a compost pile (yes, a compost pile!), birds who love varieties of food, squirrels who encourage non preservative eating, and eventually the witches who have a house made out of everything junk and bad for you, including soap made out of Cheetos.  Emma LOVES the witches song, and gets very giddy as they sing about a house made entirely of snacks.  But, alas, by the time Hansel and Gretel make their way to the witches house, they realize that they want to eat their parent's good food.
Do you think Emma learned her lesson?

Yes, that's a brownie, a rice crispy treat and a chocolate chip muffin...
But, hey, that was what they served after this informative play:)
