The other night I really needed to get the house picked up and had looming homework.  Both were starting to stress me out and nothing was getting done in a house full of kids who I cannot justify putting to bed at 5:30.  Then, this caught my eye..

I thought how cute Kate's curls dried after bath and I needed to get a picture.  One thing led to another, and all the kids ended up in the little one's bedroom insisting they get a picture taken too.

Sad Addy face.  She usually gets picked up and cuddled when this comes out.

Nathan and his ginourmous grin.

I love her crazy hair.  She has such a wild personality it just fits. She made me take the picture twice (this is the repeat) because the first one she did "crazy eyes"

Heeeeyyyyyyy...
Bailey's cool pose

Then they wanted a group picture.

She can't help the crazy eye pose:)
Then they insisted I had to be in the pictures too.

Nice, huh? Well they decided to start attacking me during the pictures.

Instead of homework and cleaning, we sang songs and played in their room.  Much better idea:)

One of the songs I taught them was Finger Family. I was preparing myself for the point when we got to Toby Tall:)  Because basically you are waving your two middle fingers all around.  Bailey and Emma didn't have a clue, thank goodness and there all of us were waving our middle fingers around. It was quite the sight.  A lot of kids their age have already grown accustomed to using that finger on a regular basis. I am glad my children are still so innocent!

Where we live

Well, where we spend almost every afternoon...
Our neighborhood park.  We walk/ride bikes there almost every afternoon and now it is so much a part of the routine that the kids have a terrible afternoon if we don't go.

Yup, the babies come everywhere with us, including the park, on the slide, in the swings...

Nathan rides this to the park, and then spends half the time riding it around the park.

Accidentally matched her to her baby's pants today!

It takes her at least 15 minutes to venture from my lap when we get to the park.

The boys love to play in the creek down below, catching nasty stuff and all that boy fun.  Well, Emma usually joins them but she was at a birthday party today.
 Look what I caught, Mom..
It's a tadpole, in case you couldn't tell.  He then released it back into the creek.

And my birthday continues...

Since we moved over the weekend that my birthday actually fell on, we went on a belated overnight trip(without kids!) to Squaw Valley Resort in Tahoe.

It was beautiful up there-the perfect combo of cold and warm.  Our next door neighbors at the hotel included a crying baby and an early rising toddler, but apart from that fun, we really did have a very relaxing time.

On the way back, we went around Lake Tahoe and stopped along the road to get out and look around.

As you can, see, Ben is the one up high and near the edges, while I am at a safe distance away.  I did climb around on rocks and things, which for me is saying a lot.

Twins do run in the family

I found this picture yesterday and was amazed at how much Nathan looks like me.  I have always thought he is a little clone of my brother, but I guess my brother and I look alike so that would explain it:)

I think it is funny that they boys and Addison look like me and Emma and Kate look like Ben!  But they are all cute, so it doesn't matter where the cuteness comes from:)

Baby, Baby, Baby

yup, we have two new additions to the Oram family....

K and A's new doll's! Hopefully I didn't make Ben's heart drop for a second:)
I bought the twin dolls at Target.  They come exactly alike but with different clothes.  The girls do not have a preference for which one they carry, but they LOVE these babies.

They also love to hug each other lately. As you can see the doll's pants are often missing.  I don't think they stay clothed most of the time.

We are now into a solid routine again in the new house.  NKA and I go to the Roseville gym after school drop off, come home, lunch, naps, etc... Pick up the older two.  We have time to run errands after school now, which frees up my evenings!  We also play in the front yard, riding bikes, or we go to the neighborhood park.  The three older ones ride their bike to it and K and A ride in the stroller. Then, we come back in time to get dinner started and wait for Daddy to come home. Emma has made friends with 3 girls on our street already.  Bailey is still patiently waiting to meet some boys.  Once we go to our new ward there will be tons that live close by a few blocks away.

The kids are looking forward to Halloween and so am I!  I am ready for some fall weather, Apple Hill, holidays and decorating.

Compare

Living in Lincoln...

I am so excited to have found my camera cord to upload pictures!  After a morning of still unpacking, unpacking....(it is taking awhile!) I came across it in some random box.  Sometimes the random boxes have the most important things:)
Here are some pre move pictures.  We started to go a little crazy with pictures, but the three little ones were having fun!

OK, so he has HUGE teeth!

This was her "act surprised" look

Moving Fairy Nathan

I can't remember what he was trying to do, but the two above pictures are action shots.

Right before we moved, Bailey went to the friend's house down the street and came back with a bloody mouth.  He wiggled for a minute or so and then pulled his own tooth out!  It was a little loose prior to whatever boy rough housing, but he was excited to have the tooth fairy visit.

One of the first night in our new house.  All five in the den/Bailey's room/Ben's office watching a movie. It didn't last long this way.  The twins still aren't interested in movies.

But what they are interested in is the potty

Well, Addy is interested in hanging Emma's clothes around her neck, but Kate has been INSISTING she go "Pee Pee" So we let her sit on the little toilet now and then.  Yesterday she kept asking after she had already sat on it for a while and I ignored her.  She then pointed to her diaper and said "Stinky" Yup, she had gone.  I don't know if she would have gone on the little toilet, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did. No comment on Nathan's still lacking ability in that department! grrrr....

He kept posing like this over and over and wanted me to take his picture.  Nathan is for sure the life of the party...

Sunday, after a great weekend of listening to General Conference, we went on a walking Tour de Parc Lincoln....

I wish I had taken pictures, but I forgot!  We walked to two different parks by our house with the kids.  One park had three smaller play areas spread out so we went around to all of them.  The kids had a great time and we are really enjoying being in our new neighborhood.

Now back to unpacking:)
