Fourth of July (a little late!)

I forgot the camera on the 4th (actually the 3rd was when we celebrated).  Here are the pics from Ben's phone! We spent the 3rd at the Summer's house, swimming, eating and hanging out....

 They loved swimming!
 Um, nice picture...

Addison looking off into her future...

Every year, Bailey loves this giant floating thing.

Summer Shots

With all of our summer fun, I forget to take pictures while we are out.  These are all around the house, but we do go out and about when the heat isn't killing us.  To pass the time until we can re-enter the gym, we have been to some water parks, the mall, etc... Anyplace not hot!

This is Kate taking off her diaper and wiping herself.  Hopefully she follows in Emma's footsteps and six months from now is fully potty trained.

Nathan and his potty chart.  We are on round two (or three?!) of potty training Nathan.  This time, he seems to be ready.  He still needs to work on the poop thing, but this time around is SO much easier with him.  The trick was to let him pick out his own underwear...

We went to a carnival with Grandpa Dave.  It was super hot, but the kids had a great time.  Pinatas, games with prizes, doughnuts on a string, BBQ, water slide, bounce house....
Nathan loved the cake walk even though he didn't really get the rules.

I give up!
I cannot keep these girls off the table, so after many get downs! I just took a picture...

Kate has an OBSESSION with putting swim diapers on her legs.  She thinks it means she is going swimming.  I wish I had pictures of that-they both love the water

Anytime the camera comes out, he wants me to take a picture of him.

Kate trying to put jammies on herself  She is quite the independent one.

Nathan and Addy. I love when they play nicely.

18 Months old plus 1

We are just a tad behind on the twins 18 month old pictures.  They are closer to 19 months, but in baby time it's not too far off.  Their pictures turned out really cute and I have to give an endorsement to Target Portrait studio.  It was cheap and fast!

Addison was really into having her picture taken, and Kate not so much.
It took until the end to get this picture out of Kate.  She usually loves the camera, but not this day!

There were about five pictures of Addison I wanted, but I only bought the two different ones.  She was loving the bench.

I asked for this pose.  I always see twins having their pictures taken like this and it seems cute.

They loved the flowers, and we almost didn't make it out of there without one clutched in their hands.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I will have new stats for weight.  We are also a bit behind on the doctor end!

They are both now walking 100% of the time.  They love to swim, ride bikes and pull snacks out of the cupboard.  High chairs have been gone for a little while now and they are big girls at the table with their own plates and silverware.  They love their older siblings and follow them all around like puppy dogs all day long.  I have caught them a few times laying in their individual cribs after naps, giggling and playing with each other through the slats.

Tri for Fun!

I am so super proud of Ben:) !  He ran (well, and swam and biked) in the Tri-For-Fun at Rancho Seco today.  He and his friend, Jarrod, did it together.  I pulled the five little ones out of bed at 6:45 a.m., loaded them in the car, with a quick stop for Mickey D's pancakes.  They had fun playing while we waited for Ben to get back from the bike section of the race.  We were too late to catch him swimming.

His hand is out for his number that was left at home.  I was supposed to get it to him before he left on the bike.  I had given it to a volunteer when I got there but it never made it to Ben.

The woman in front of him blocked my shot! (It's a bit hard to take pictures with twins in your arms!) But there he is, starting the run, and final section of the race.

Crossing the finish line!  The kids were so excited for this part.

Ben and Jarrod-super tired, but glad they both decided to go for it and do their first triathlon!

Afterward, we had a celebratory lunch at Spaghetti Factory...
It is the one place that everyone will eat and eat a lot.

Banned!

Addison has now bit twice in the last month and is therefore suspended from the gym for a month....
Maybe she can bite off the extra fat I will gain from decreasing my gym time.

As I took her from the arms of her favorite worker, she screamed and cried (and tried to bite Kate!)  I think the workers were going to cry as well.  They all knew if she bit again, it would mean suspension and felt so bad that they couldn't watch her closely enough.  She bit the same child as last time, who we know through other people...Maybe I should let him bite her a few times to get even!

Fun with Twins

As soon as I mouthed to Melanie across the chapel "I brought a camera!" we couldn't wait to get our mandatory shots with both of our sets of twins.  I even dressed my girls alike today because I knew she was coming for her nephew's blessing (which was SO much fun for the people running the nursery to have two sets of twins in matching clothes!) Our girls are only about 2 1/2 months apart so we expect them to be good friends someday:)
