My Mom Is Not Nise

I found this in the pull out part of my desk where Emma usually colors pictures.  Guess I ticked her off and she had to write it down... I tried to rotate it and it will not comply, so turn your head.

Translation: My mom is not nice. She told me to get off the computer when I was playing on it.  to Mom, Love ?

I love how she was going to give it to me anonymously, haha.

It's 8:24 a.m...

And the three little ones are STILL sleeping! Thank goodness for carpool.  Some fun things in our house lately:

Bailey performed in his class play last night: The Pirates of Grammar Island. He was a cursed Crewman.  These lovely ladies are his teachers: Ms. Sherman and Ms. Garcia.  In our recent parent teacher conference they told us Bailey was the sweetest and kindest soul they have ever met.  They have been pretty awesome for him as well.

Bailey and his best friend, Prasad.  They have been best friends since 2nd grade.

Singing into the microphone.  Not by himself, as that would have terrified him.  He did a great job!

What would a post be without a crazy Nathan picture.  He had just gotten a drink out of the fountain, hence the soaked shirt and was jumping up and down yelling, "Take a picture of meeeeeeeee!"

Side note: his new way of telling me he has to go to the bathroom: "Poop alert, Mom! Poop alert!"

Emma wanted her picture taken with Bailey, and Bailey wasn't so into that.  Next up in theatrics will be Emma's debut as the Storyteller in her class play.

My new shoes...They are supposed to help my running form (which is terrible). I ran with them on Monday and was able to run so much better and longer.  Problem is it is Wednesday and my legs are killing me.  But it's a good pain when your muscles are all working.  

Emma asked me last night if we could go to Disneyland sometime.  When I told her probably not, she was upset-hee hee.... So mean of me, but it is fun to do.  They are going to be so SURPRISED in just a few more weeks! 
And it is now 8:38---still no stir from the small one's bedroom compound! :)

No Pictures

But I can't wait for those to document, sorry. 

Bailey's explanation of why his school named their classrooms after colors:
Purple and Yellow (K/1) are because those are younger kid colors that they learn first before others. 
Red and Blue (2/3) Once you are older you start to have favorite colors, like either red or blue
Aqua and Coral (4/5) These colors are hard to explain and understand until you are older.  Most little kids don't know what colors these are
Orange (6) It has six letters, so they made it for 6th grade!
Green (7/8)...hmm. I don't have that one figured out yet.

Emma: Has been great with the twins lately, including doing their hair for them every night, and soaping them for me in the bath tub.  Totally awesome for Mom.  She has also been blowing in a boy named Kai's ear because she said he gets a crazy face when she does and it is funny.  It doesn't help that this little girl is super pretty.  Yes, I'm her mom, but really she just is.  She's been asking to be a cheerleader-we say no way Jose.  First we must teach her to use her powers for good:)

Nathan: Has a crazy vocabulary and still sometimes doesn't make it to the toilet to poop.  Someday he will read all these blog posts about him not pooping and wonder what the big deal is.

Kate: She has recently been frightful of random things.  But then she gets this half grin when you comfort her.  I'm starting to wonder if we don't have some serious manipulation going on:)

Addison: Is on a steady progression forward with her speech.  She has sprouted some nice little phrases recently which is nice.  It has helped a ton with tantrums.

Big Brother

Even though they have their moments, Nathan is an excellent big brother to these two little girls.  This morning, he helped them get their teeth brushed.  He put the toothpaste on their brushes, turned on the water (and occasionally yelled at them to get out of his way).  

He actually helps these two out a lot and is always looking out for them. Every morning when they all wake up, he gets them toys, talks to them and tells them it's OK, Mommy will be up soon to feed you....

Motor Gym Motor Gym, Oh So Fast....

As part of her services, Addison goes to a weekly Sensory Motor Gym at Rocklin High School. Nathan and Kate get to tag along.  Before today, we were the only ones in that time slot (8:30 a.m. probably explains that!)  Today, we got a new little friend.

They switch activities around every month.  This month they also have dress up outfits for St. Patrick's Day.  Addison LOVES hats and necklaces, so she is in Heaven.  

They love the play dough.  And I was also trying to get good pics of their new shirts.  I saw one of these at Babies R Us a few weeks ago, and we sent Nana out on a scavenger hunt to find two in the same size:)  One is a 3T and one a 36months, but they both fit and they both fit now! I thought I would have to wait until fall.  If you can see well enough, they have a little girl with curly hair and a little girl with straight hair and bangs and underneath it says "Best Friends"...awwwww  Of course I had to have them!  

Kate was not happy about letting me take an up close picture, but I got it.  It is her rest time on the couch with blanky right now and you just don't mess with that.

In other news, I just signed up to run my first 5K.  Now I have to pretend to be a runner....

This Week

We've had lots of throw up.. all courtesy of Kate and at random times.  We've stayed in the majority of the week and three stir crazy kids can be nuts.  Unless you teach them to play the go to sleep, wake up game:)

This is what they played twice this week while I folded laundry at the foot of the bed.  It was pretty funny as they had no idea it was helping me so much.

And they also re-discovered the dress up box.  That provided lots of entertainment, and the girls now insist the are "prncsses"

A Post-ful

These two love the bath. Sometimes I put them in early if they are having a rough day just to make them happy.  Kate's new trick (as told to me by her daddy as I was at school and thankfully missed out): As the adult is drying your off after bath, stand there with your mouth closed and look very cute and obedient.  Just as they are drying you completely off, spit out the water you have been saving in your mouth the entire time right at them.  It's a fabulous trick!

We had pack meeting last night.  It was a cake "competition" and the theme was Compassion for the month.  Well, a cake that represents compassion?  Bailey came up with the idea above and I executed it.  Funfetti cake with blue and gold sprinkles (Cub Scout colors).  The people are made out of chocolate licorice, marshmallows and chocolate chips.  The mouths came from gel food coloring I put on with a q-tip.  

Here are some of the other cakes Emma begged me to let her take pictures of.

The time came for the certificates, and Bailey was so wiggly in his seat he was excited.  They gave out awards for "Most Spirited" cake, or "Most Sparkly"  I could see Bailey just dying to know what his cake won.  They saved his award for last and it was "Best in Show"  He was so excited!  And I was excited because (even though I shouldn't care) he didn't get some award that was created just for his cake.  Then, my cute little scout showed how grateful he was...  All the other parents were waiting until the kids took their tornado of a turn at the cake table.  Bailey thought to get an extra piece of cake and brought it to me so I didn't have to stand in line.  awwwwww.....

He was supposed to get his Bear last night but the person in charge for picking up the awards forgot, so it will be next month.  Which works anyway as Ben had to stay home with a puking twin.

Another fun trick of Kate's:

When your siblings are all nicely eating dinner, puke violently all over the table twice in a row, freaking them out.  It's a pretty cool trick.
